Applications for the World Bank Young Professionals Program are open. Apply here

The World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) is now accepting applications, offering a unique career opportunity for young professionals passionate about development. The YPP is a competitive and prestigious leadership program designed to develop future leaders of the World Bank Group (WBG), which includes the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).

The program is aimed at young professionals with strong academic backgrounds, leadership potential, and a commitment to international development. To be eligible, applicants should hold a master’s or doctoral degree in fields such as economics, finance, international relations, science, or business administration. They must also have relevant professional experience—at least three years for master’s holders and one year for those with a Ph.D. Applicants must be born on or after October 1, 1991, and be fluent in English. Knowledge of other WBG languages (like French, Spanish, or Arabic) is an advantage.

The YPP offers an unparalleled platform for career development within the World Bank Group. Participants undergo a two-year development curriculum that includes on-the-job learning, mentoring, and leadership training. Upon successful completion, they are usually offered permanent roles within the WBG, where they contribute to global development initiatives across various sectors.

The application process involves submitting a CV, cover letter, and recommendations, followed by an interview stage for selected candidates. If you are passionate about using your skills to make a global impact, this is a tremendous opportunity to build a career with the World Bank Group.
